After successfully conducting the largest individual online quiz in the state, on Medflix, Govt. Sivagangai Medical College, Sivagangai is back again with two other events to make your quarantine even more fruitful. This time we are conducting the events with our Social Media partner AGAM. Hope everybody takes this opportunity to gain knowledge, have fun and win exciting prizes.

EVENT 1: QUIZ ON “ENDOCRINOLOGY & METABOLISM”

Tentative Dates: October 5 – October 11, 2020.

Prize amount: 1st place: Rs. 5000; 2nd Place: Rs. 3000

RULES:

1. A team of 3 members of the same college can register.

2. The participants can be of any academic year. (1st to Final MBBS and CRRIs)

3. The quiz comprises of 4 rounds.

4. In the first round, 15 clinical vignettes pertaining to basic sciences will be given and 40 minutes shall be given to answer the questions. Top 50 percentile shall be selected for the next round.

5. In the second round, 15 clinical vignettes with questions from clinical subjects shall be given. From this round the top 10 percentile shall be selected for the next round.

6. A semi-final shall be conducted for the selected participants with questions from both basic sciences and clinical knowledge and top 10 teams shall be selected for the finals.

7. The finals will comprise of different rounds and the top two teams shall be awarded.

8. In the first two rounds, the questions will be of multiple-choice pattern.

9. The first two rounds shall be conducted in DBMCI E-Gurukul App. The rules regarding submission of your

responses shall be intimated shortly . All the participants are

requested to download the app.

10. Regarding the question pattern of semi-finals and finals, the

selected participants will be intimated later.

11. All the decisions of the Team and AGAM shall be final.
